Privacy Policy

Effective:

Blog Booster (the “Service”) is provided as a Chrome extension and this website. This policy explains what information the Service stores, where, and how it is used.

1. Information stored only in your browser

The following stays in your browser (Chrome extension storage) and is never sent to our servers:

  • Thumbnail editor settings (text box style, font, colors, ratio and so on) and language/theme preferences
  • Your Gemini API key, chosen model, your post formats and the last generated post
  • Photos and videos you use for thumbnails and GIFs — all processing happens in your browser

2. Information stored on our server

To manage free uses and passes, only the following is stored in the Service’s database (Supabase):

  • An automatically created anonymous user ID (we never collect email, name or phone number)
  • Daily usage counts per feature (image creation, AI drafts)
  • Ad pass grants and expiry times, and subscription status (once subscriptions launch)

We do not store your posts, topics, photos or API key. An anonymous ID cannot be linked back to you after you remove the extension; on request we will delete its records.

3. Information sent to third-party services

  • Google Gemini API: when you request a draft, your topic, extra instructions and post format are sent to Google with your API key, under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service. On the free tier, Google may use this data to improve its services.
  • Google Trends: opening the Trends tab requests the public RSS feed for the selected country code. No personal information is included.

4. This website and advertising (Google AdSense and Ad Manager)

This website shows ads from Google AdSense. On the pass page (/unlock) it shows a Google Ad Manager rewarded ad only when you choose to watch one; finishing the ad issues a 24-hour pass, for which only a one-time pass token is sent to our server.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of other vendors’ personalized-ad cookies at www.aboutads.info.
  • See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
  • Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for cookie consent through a Google-certified consent message.

The website runs on Cloudflare, which may process connection data such as IP addresses for security and delivery. We use your country to choose the page language, and a language you pick yourself is remembered in the bb_lang cookie for one year.

5. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

User data the Service receives is used only to provide and improve the features described above, in compliance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell user data or transfer it to third parties for advertising.

6. Retention and deletion

Usage counts are kept as long as needed to run the Service; pass and subscription records are kept as long as the law requires. Removing the extension deletes everything stored in your browser.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 14 (or the minimum age in your country) and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page with a new effective date.
